After a historic season, the Loyola women’s soccer team ended its season with a 1-0 loss against No. 1 seed Florida State University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night.
The first half was hard-fought with a dominant Rambler defense and an aggressive Seminole offense. Florida State carried most of the possession throughout the half.
By the end of 45 minutes, the Seminoles had 19 total shots, including seven shots on goal. The Ramblers’ defense stayed strong as junior goalkeeper Kate Moran turned away all of Florida State’s advances in the half, keeping the score 0-0 heading into halftime.
