The Loyola men’s soccer team (7-4-2, 2-0-2) defeated Moody Bible Institute 4-0 at Loyola Soccer Park Tuesday night. The match was a makeup game for both teams, as the Ramblers sought to replace its schedule match against Loyola Marymount University Aug. 31, which was cancelled due to inclement weather.
“It’s an additional game,” Loyola head coach Neil Jones said. “It’s another opportunity for players to push themselves fitness-wise and show the coaches what they can do and overall to improve.”
The Ramblers started the first half strong as first-year midfielder Ethan Stoneman picked up his first collegiate goal with an eighth-minute shot off the crossbar from just inside the penalty box.
