The Loyola men’s soccer team (1-0-1) notched its first win of the season, defeating the Cleveland State University Vikings 1-0 at Loyola Soccer Park August 27.
“We’re happy to get that one in the books, for sure. I think the first win is the hardest one of the season to get,” Loyola head coach Neil Jones said. “We played hard today, and we played good soccer even though it’s very hot out here today.”
First-year forward Vasco Cardoso scored the Ramblers’ lone goal in the 28th minute, marking both the first of his career and the first of the season for Loyola.
