For the first time since the 2017-18 season, the Loyola men’s basketball team (3-0) is starting the season 3-0. The Ramblers battled past University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a 77-66 victory Dec. 13.
Led by senior center Cameron Krutwig’s 20 points, Loyola had four players in double digits. The team shot at a 51.9% success rate, helping them secure 11-point victory over its longtime rival.
“It was our first game that was really back and forth,” Loyola head coach Porter Moser said. “I thought our guys answered the bell every time. That’s the sign of an older team.
