The Loyola women’s basketball team defeated Purdue University Northwest (PNW) 73-65 in its exhibition game Oct. 30. Led by junior forward Sitori Tanin’s double-double performance with 17 points and 11 rebounds, the Ramblers head into the 2022-23 with a win against an NCAA Division II opponent.
Loyola won the tip-off to start the game and entered the score sheet first with a layup by Tanin on Loyola’s second possession. PNW would quickly respond with a three-point dagger from Abbie McDowell. After the 3-2 start, both teams put up eight points before a media timeout and score of 11-10.
