The Loyola women’s soccer team clinched the No. 1 seed in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) for the first time in team history with a 6-1 win over University of Evansville Thursday night.
The Ramblers were in control throughout the game, with Madison Kimball picking up a “hat trick” with three goals on the night — one in the eighth minute, one in the 53rd minute and one in the 59th minute. After the game, she said winning the MVC for the first time meant the team had achieved its goal of turning the program around.
“We’ve been working our [butts] off every single day to change the culture of the program,” Kimball said.
