After finishing the regular season in the No. 2 spot in the conference, the Loyola men’s volleyball team (18-8, 11-3) took home six individual awards from the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA).
Five Loyola players were given accolades this postseason, with redshirt first-year outside hitter Parker Van Buren taking home two.
The Cross Plains, Wisconsin native was named the conference’s Newcomer of the Year after tallying 357 kills — second in the MIVA overall — along with 101 digs, 51 blocks and 17 aces.
Van Buren was also named to the All-MIVA first team, one of three Ramblers to make it onto this year’s team.
