The Loyola men’s soccer team (4-3, 1-1) fell to Missouri State University 2-1 in overtime Sunday at Loyola Soccer Park Sunday afternoon.
The loss came after the teams battled to a 1-1 draw over 90 minutes of regulation. The Bears scored two minutes into the 10-minute, sudden-death overtime to claim the victory and remain undefeated on the season.
“It was two good teams going to battle and that was a war,” Loyola head coach Neil Jones said after the game. “We’re disappointed about how we could have defended the winning goal better, but we’ve gotta move on and get ready for Bradley [University] on Wednesday.
