The Loyola men’s basketball team (1-1) suffered an 87-63 loss to Furman University Friday night in Greenville, South Carolina.
This is the second consecutive year Furman has handed the Ramblers their first loss of the season. This loss comes on the road, after last year’s defeat came at the hands of a last-second Furman dunk in Gentile Arena.
The Ramblers struggled to maintain control of the ball against the Paladins, turning the ball over 22 times compared to the Paladins’ nine turnovers. This was the highest amount of turnovers Loyola’s had in a game since 2012, according to sports-reference.
