The Loyola men’s basketball team (2-4) lost 61-55 against Harvard University in the first ever matchup between the two programs. This is the Ramblers third straight loss by 16 or more points after struggling with turnovers and personal fouls all season.
To begin the game, senior guard Marquise Kennedy got the ball off the jump and passed to redshirt first-year forward Ben Schwieger who drove to the rim for a layup. The shot was blocked by Harvard’s Justice Ajogbor who took possession, ending in a personal foul by junior forward Philip Alston.
Harvard’s Luka Sakota drew the first points of the game, draining a three within the first 50 seconds.
