Loyola Falls to Boston College 78-66 in Fort Myers Tip-Off Championship

The Loyola men’s basketball team (4-2) couldn’t shake early offensive struggles as it fell to Boston College 78-66 in the Fort Myers Tip-Off tournament championship in Fort Myers, Florida Wednesday night.

In the defeat, the Ramblers were led by redshirt senior guard Clayton Custer, who finished with 17 points on 5-for-16 shooting — including 1-for-7 from three-point range. Sophomore guard Lucas Williamson recorded 13 points and grabbed six rebounds while playing a career-high 37 minutes.

The first half saw the Ramblers get off to another slow start, as they didn’t get on the board until Custer made a layup three minutes and 30 seconds into the game.
