The Loyola women’s basketball team beat North Central College 73-49 in an exhibition game at Gentile Arena Nov. 3.
“Really pleased with our defensive effort … although I thought we could have been better, they scored a lot off our mistakes,” Loyola head coach Kate Achter said after the game. “That’s something that can be corrected, so that’s really good moving forward.”
The first quarter was slow to start for the Ramblers. The Cardinals held the lead for most of the quarter and led 16-14. Loyola went 7-for-18 on shots in the paint with scoring efforts led by junior guard Tiara Wallace, who scored six of the Ramblers’ 14 points in the quarter.
