The Loyola women’s volleyball team (13-9, 5-5) swept the University of Evansville 3-0 at Gentile Arena Friday night to capture their second consecutive win in two nights and move to .500 in conference play.
Loyola controlled every set, winning by margins of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-17. The back-to-back wins this weekend come after the team endured a five-game losing skid.
“It was nice just to play a little bit more clean volleyball and I thought we did that tonight,” head coach Amanda Berkley said.
Berkley said the team’s passing and defense at the net were key factors in the victory.
