In its last non-conference game of the season, the Loyola men’s basketball team (7-6) fell to St. Joseph’s university 45-42 on a last-second three-pointer.
St. Joseph’s held Loyola’s offense to a low shooting percentage. The second half exploded with momentum as the Ramblers not only scored 10 more points than the first half, but also increased their shooting percentage from 28 percent to 40.9 percent giving them a total of 34.0 percent from the field for the game.
Loyola’s offensive struggles were partly due to partly due to 16 turnovers. Head coach Porter Moser has said the team’s goal is less than 10 turnovers and more than 15 assists per game.
