After five years as Loyola softball head coach, Jeff Tylka won’t return to his post next season, Loyola Athletics confirmed.
Tylka’s contract expired after the 2019 season and wasn’t renewed, a Loyola Athletics spokesperson told The Phoenix. He joined the program in 2011 as an assistant coach before being promoted to head coach in 2014.
He totaled a 111-141 overall record during his tenure at the helm — making him the third coach in program history to win 100 games — and went 37-89 in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) action. The Ramblers have never finished higher than seventh in MVC play, doing so in 2014 and 2019.
