Loyola men’s basketball junior guard Jalon Pipkins is planning to transfer from the program after one year, a Loyola Athletics spokesperson confirmed to The Phoenix.
This past season, Pipkins appeared in 30 of the Ramblers’ 32 games, including his lone start in a loss to Coppin State University Nov. 12.
The Paris, Texas native averaged 3.4 points per game, and reached double figures twice, including a season-high 14 points coming in a win over Norfolk State University Dec. 15.
However, Pipkins saw his minutes dwindle toward the end of the season. In the Ramblers’ final 12 games, he played more than 10 minutes just once after averaging 15.
