Through the ups and downs of the Loyola men’s basketball team’s season following its Final Four run, one thing has remained constant: hype. After it blossomed last year, it was able to remain steady, in part due to the official launch of The Pack. The Pack is the official student section of the Loyola Ramblers, and its goal is to bring spirit to Gentile Arena and come up with theme ideas for men’s basketball games.
Jonah Blatt, 21, known for his pope costume at men’s basketball games, was one of the first members of the group. He said he was put in contact with some students during his first year at Loyola who wanted to start up the group, and the members had their first meeting at the end of the 2016-17 school year.
