Loyola track & field has hit the ground running to kick off the spring semester.
The Ramblers have competed at two indoor meets in 2022 after participating in the Blue Demon Holiday Invitational to kick off the season Dec. 10. In the Jan. 22 Notre Dame Invitational alone, Loyola tallied 27 personal records.
“That’s as big of a number as I’ve seen in my coaching career in one weekend,” director of track & field and cross country Gavin Kennedy said. “It just shows that we’re headed in the right direction.”
Coming to Rogers Park from an assistant coaching position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, director of track & field and cross country Gavin Kennedy has already made an impact at Loyola.
