We’re in the home stretch, folks. In just over three weeks, the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) will crown its regular-season champion ahead of the conference tournament. Who will it be? Great question.
Here’s another great question: who will be the MVC Player of the Year? Last year, the debate was settled early when Loyola went 30-3 with Clayton Custer in the lineup and 2-3 without him. But Custer’s had a down turn this year — despite being the team’s third-leading scorer — and will likely only make an All-MVC team (I know. “Only.”)
So Custer’s out of the picture.
