After snapping a three-game losing streak with a win against Bradley University Feb. 12, the Loyola women’s basketball team (13-10, 6-7) faced Indiana State University, winning 64-40.
As of Feb. 15, Indiana State leads the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) in steals and turnovers per game with 10.6 and 20 on average, respectively. The Sycamores’ defensive pressure is powered by Del’Janae Williams and Marie Hunter, averaging 2.2 steals per game and 2 steals per game, respectively.
Loyola won the tip-off to start the game, and were quick to put themselves on the board with a layup by junior forward Julia Hoefling.
