The Loyola men’s basketball team has punched its third ticket in the last five years to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Drake University March 18 to win the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) in back-to-back seasons.
As announced on the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Selection Show March 13, No. 10-seeded Loyola is set to play No. 7-seeded Ohio State University in Pittsburgh March 18.
Loyola has made their presence known in its last two March Madness appearances, making it to the Sweet Sixteen in 2021 and the Final Four in 2018.
The Ramblers also bring back nine players from their 2021 Sweet Sixteen run roster, including four of its five starters — graduate guard Lucas Williamson, graduate forward Aher Uguak, graduate guard Keith Clemons and redshirt sophomore Braden Norris.
