It’s something no one ever expected but, No. 5 seed Bradley University has defeated the No. 1 seed Loyola University in a 53-51 upset.
It was a nail biter from the beginning with no clear team dominating throughout the first half. Bradley had the advantage was they headed to the locker rooms before the second half. Loyola went on a run at the beginning of the second half but the game continued to go back and forth until Bradley went on a run at the end to seal the deal.
The Braves were led by junior guard Nate Kennel’s 19 points and 6 rebounds while sophomore forwarded Elijah Childs added in 10 points and 11 rebounds.
