It’s the day of upsets. No. 6-seeded Missouri State University beat No. 3-seeded Indiana State University 78-51 at Enterprise Center in the quarterfinal round of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) men’s basketball tournament Friday night. This comes after two other lower seeded teams overcame their opponents to advance to the semi-final round.
Despite being the higher seed, Indiana State only led for about six minutes while the Bears held an edge for more than 32 minutes. The game was tied twice for a total of 1:05 with only three lead-changes throughout the entire 40 minutes.
This win comes after Missouri State failed to meet expectations.
