The LMU women’s volleyball team (15-4 overall, 5-3 WCC) suffered a tough loss at the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) Cup against conference rival Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon at the Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.
The Lions were swept 25-18, 25-18, 25-18, by the Pepperdine Waves (13-5, 7-1 WCC) breaking LMU’s four-match win streak. The Lions fell to fourth place in the WCC standings and Pepperdine remained in second behind undefeated No. 1 BYU.
"Pepperdine played better than us in every category,” said Head Coach Aaron Mansfield. “It felt like we were chasing them the whole time. Our serving and passing has been really steady for us all year and we didn't do either of those things particularly well today.
