The Louisville Cardinals need a new head football coach. Louisville fired head coach Bobby Petrino on Sunday after a 2-8 start to the season that included a 0-7 mark in ACC play. Louisville will pay Petrino a $14 MM buyout, but the move doesn't come as a surprise. The question now becomes who Louisville football hires as their new head coach.
So with Petrino out, who are the Cardinals zeroing in on to take the helm? Could Purdue head coach and Louisville native Jeff Brohm make his return home to the Cardinals? Or is Brohm even ready to take that step? If not, could another Kentucky native such as Troy’s Neal Brown be interested in the role? Or maybe a top assistant in college football such as Ohio State’s Greg Schiano could be a likely target? Tune in as Tom Downey breaks down all these names and more!
