University of Louisville facing two early morning armed robberies

University of Louisville has sent out two different alerts to students, faculty and staff notifying them of armed robberies that occurred in the early hours of Wed., morning.

The first RAVE alert was sent at 6:50 notifying them of a robbery at gunpoint that occurred at the U of L affiliated University Pointe Apartments.

The RAVE alert said, “at 6:00 a.m. today a student reported being robbed at gunpoint at University Pointe Apartments. Black male, 6’0 tall, black clothing. Suspect fled scene unknown direction.”

According to University of Louisville Police Department, Chief Gary D. Lewis Jr, the robbery occurred within the apartment complex.
