U of L’s Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research is excited to announce its newest digitization of the public history exhibit Black Freedom, White Allies, Red Scare: Louisville, 1954, located at BlackFreedomWhiteAlliesRedScare.org.
The exhibit features an an online learning site, aimed at presenting interactive material drawn from an exhibition hosted by the Louisville Free Public Library. The library’s Bernheim Gallery held the exhibit “Black Freedom, White Allies, Red Scare: Louisville, 1954” in the fall of 2014, originally designed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of a pivotal series of events that took place in Louisville in 1954.
