Thoughts: Jaylen Smith stepped onto the field last year and did exactly what Petrino and Lamar needed him to do. He became a clear #1 receiver. Having been a decent piece of the offense two seasons prior it was key that Jaylen take on the top spot and not fall back into a complimentary position. We heard all last offseason that Lamar was going to be more of a pocket passer and Jaylen was hoping to reap the rewards of that decision.
