Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen announces transfer, won't play in Music City Bowl

When Texas A&M heads to Nashville for the Music City Bowl later this month, they will do so without sophomore Kyle Allen, who spent the bulk of the 2015 season as the Aggies' starting quarterback.

Allen posted the following message to Texas A&M fans Thursday evening:

Allen, a former five-star recruit who was rated as the nation's No. 1 pro style quarterback in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com, has appeared in 10 games for the Aggies this season after winning the starting job from Kenny Hill during the 2014 season.
