The past few weeks have seen another controversy fall at the doorstep of the Louisville Cardinals’ men’s basketball program. Several former players and recruits reportedly confirming the allegations from a former escort of sex parties being held in a dorm on campus and being paid for by a former assistant coach.
Head coach Rick Pitino has denied any knowledge of any such parties, and has continued to fight off calls for him to step down. Thursday, Pitino issued a statement detailing why he is staying on the sideline in Louisville:
