Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” blasts through the speakers while an Uncle Sam cutout points coercively. A man, donned with a heroic blue and yellow cape, poses next to a table at the end of the gym. Students on giant tricycles whistle past, almost flipping over while attacking the corner. Relay for Life has started, and has 12 hours to fundraise what is left of its goal.
