A shooting near Bettie Johnson Hall left one victim in surgery Tuesday night. The victim was not a student, and reportedly sustained non life-threatening injuries.
A Rave alert reported the incident at 10:58 p.m. Tuesday, saying there was one victim. Louisville Metro Police and University of Louisville Police responded, reportedly finding the victim on 6th and Hill street.
LMPD Spokesperson Alicia Smiley said the victim was presumably shot near Bettie Johnson, fleeing towards 6th and Hill street where police found him.
