The second-ranked Louisville baseball team bounced back from a Friday defeat to take down No. 17 Wake Forest on Saturday and Sunday to win its 31st consecutive regular season home series.
Junior shortstop Devin Hairston continued his big week on Sunday by going 3 for 5 at the plate and driving in four runs. His two-run double in the 8th inning proved to be the difference in a 7-5 Cardinal win.
On the mound, freshman lefty Nick Bennett delivered another quality start, allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts over six and a third. Adam Wolf registered the victory for U of L, and moved to 3-0 on the season.
