Thirty-two degrees and it’s pouring down rain. You’re hungry, pockets are empty, nowhere to go and no one to turn to. This horrendous picture is the sad reality of far too many people across the country.
Over 550,000 people experienced homelessness in the US in 2015, and that doesn’t even include the ones not accounted for. This past Thursday, U of L Porter Scholars teamed up with nursing students to make care packages for homeless shelters across the city.
