The New York Liberty selected Louisville star Asia Durr withe No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA Draft Wednesday night. Notre Dame’s Jackie Bradley, a second team All-ACC selection, was taken No. 1 by Las Vegas.
Amassing 2,485 points over her college career, Durr is Louisville basketball’s second all-time leading scorer. She was named ACC Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019, becoming the first U of L women’s player to win multiple conference player of the year awards.
Durr becomes the second-highest draft pick in the history of U of L women’s basketball. Ten years ago, Angel McCoughtry (Louisville’s all-time leading scorer) was taken first overall.
