Wake Forest scored first in this game, but that was the only time they’d lead. Still, despite Louisville playing a solid game the Deacs kept things in reach. The lead was only 41-33 well into the 3rd quarter but then the superior talent for the Cards started to take its toll. Mid-way into the 4th the lead had grown to 20 and Wake finally seemed to accept their fate.
Arica Carter came out blazing again and had 9 of her 12 points in the first quarter. Jazmine Jones had solid contributions in every phase of the game. She had 8 points, a career high 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and only 1 turnover.
