Louisville got a lift off the bench from freshman forward V.J. King, who helped turn what was a tight game with visiting William & Mary for most of the first half into a 91-58 rout.
King, who played just 17 minutes in the game, scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. He also snagged five rebounds for the Cards, who improved to 2-0 on the young season.
"V.J. is getting his confidence because of his thousands of shot attempts," Louisville head coach Rick Pitino joked after the game. "I found out tonight that I can play him and (Deng) Adel on the the court at the same time.
