Since Louisville's departure from the Big East (or AAC), there have been three names that have consistently come up when the topic of discussion has been non-conference basketball scheduling: Indiana, Cincinnati and Memphis. The last two of those three are the pair of teams that U of L has played more than any other in its history. The other is already locked into a three-game series that will begin next season.
While it appears Louisville has no intention of playing Cincinnati any time soon (the Russ Smith game-winner was just too sweet), there had been serious talks about resuming a series with Memphis ever since the Cards broke for the ACC.
