The 19-ranked Louisville Cardinals scored early and scored often as they defeated the Kennesaw State Owls 94-57 on Wednesday night. With the victory Louisville improves to 8-1 overall while the Owls fall to 3-9 on the season.
Louisville’s defense gave the Owls trouble from the start. Kennesaw State didn’t score their second field goal until the 10:27 mark in the first half. Out rebounding the Owls 47-22, Louisville’s size and athleticism proved to be too overwhelming at every position on the floor. Kennesaw State was held to 39 percent shooting while the Cards shot at 59 percent from the floor.
