Some much-needed good news for the Louisville defense arrived on Wednesday, as sophomore linebacker Dorian Etheridge told reporters that he has been cleared to play in Saturday’s game against Florida State.
“I feel great,” Etheridge said of his status. “It’s just good to be back out there with my team.”
Etheridge was helped off the field during Louisville’s 31-7 win over Indiana State in week two with what appeared to be a significant injury. Thankfully, the injury turned out to be nothing more than a bad sprain.
A freshman All-American in 2017, Etheridge notched 66 tackles, good for the second most on the team and the third most of any true freshman in the FBS.
