Louisville sophomore guard Josh Nickelberry has announced that he plans to transfer elsewhere to continue his college basketball career.
“Thank you to Coach Mack, my teammates and all of Card Nation of these past two years,” Nickelberry said in a statement. Louisville will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for me.”
The first recruit to ever commit to Mack at Louisville, Nickelberry’s U of L career was plagued by injuries and illness over the last two years. He made a three-pointer in seven of his nine appearances this past season, but averaged just 2.
