After opening the Scott Satterfield-era on Labor Day against Notre Dame, Louisville football won’t have much time to reflect as Eastern Kentucky comes to town just five days later.
The Cardinals hold an 18-7-1 record against the Colonels, including winning the 2013 meeting 44-7 behind Teddy Bridgewater’s four-touchdown performance.
EKU will be the first of three directional Kentucky schools (Western 9/14, Lexington Basketball Academy of Central Kentucky 11/30) the Cards will face in 2019.
EKU is an FCS school and is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
Eastern returns 50 of their 61 players from 2018, including 13 starters that led the Colonels to a 7-4 record, but they ended their year on a four-game winning streak.
