With few remaining spots left in the Louisville recruiting class of 2016, finding an additional safety prospect remained a high priority. Late Thursday night, Louisville got its man when Clinton, MS safety Lamarques Thomas committed to Louisville. Thomas is a composite three-star safety according to 247Sports composite ranking system. He is rated a 5.7 (the highest rating shy of four-star) by Rivals.com who also lists him as the #12 player in Mississippi.
Similar to Tim Bonner, Amonte Caban, and Dee Smith last year, and Jawon Pass in 2016, Thomas picked Louisville over a host of offers from SEC schools.
