Louisville added another piece to its future defense on Sunday when Peachtree Ridge High School (Suwanee, GA) committed to the Cardinals.

Jones is Louisville's tenth commitment for the class of 2017, a class that is likely to be headed significantly upward in recruiting rankings throughout July. He's the second commitment expected to play linebacker, joining Tadarrius Patterson. You can watch Jones' Hudl video below.
247Sports lists Jones as a composite three-star prospect at defensive end. Though he plays mostly outside linebacker in the highlight video and is ranked as a defensive end, his ability to take on and shed blocks and his size (6'1 instead of 6'3 or more that Louisville has typically wanted in its 3-4 outside linebackers) likely means Jones' future is at inside linebacker.
