Louisville got some much needed short-term help along the defensive line when junior college defensive lineman Chris Williams committed to the Cardinals after visiting for the Virginia game. With the Louisville defensive line set to lose all three senior starters, recruiting efforts have been focused on both four year prospects and at least one immediate impact defensive lineman. The Louisville staff appears to have found its man in Williams.

Williams was a composite three-star defensive tackle out of Sandy Creek (GA) High School in the class of 2014 where he played alongside JaQuay Savage and Shaq Wiggins.
