After marinating on the return of Louisville Head Coach Bobby Petrino many began to evaluate the differences with him at the helm versus the previous regime. One of the obvious was the usage of the Tight End position; and Louisville had the perfect guy in highly heralded Gerald Christian.
While he finished tied for the team lead with five touchdowns and fourth with 32 catches for 384 yards, some may argue that he was under-utilized for his talent level. I would be in agreement with that. However, not necessarily at the fault of the coaching staff.
Coming into the 2015 season next fall, I similarly expect big things out of the position, but more so with a group of guys in lieu of a single Tight End.
