When Scott Satterfield took the Louisville football head coaching job, he made a few promises to the university, it’s students, supporters, and fans. Among those promises was that the coaching staff would make recruiting the Louisville area and the state of Kentucky a priority once again.
For nearly two decades, Louisville had a vice grip on recruiting in the metro area. If the Cards wanted a big-name recruit from a local school unless a traditional power cane calling he was the Cards’ to lose.
That changed, however, over the last few years. As Kentucky improved under head coach Mark Stoops, the Cats began to snag some top prospects from the local area.
