A letter obtained via an open records request reveals that the University of Louisville fired former dance coach Todd Sharp because of “fiscal misconduct.”
The letter alleges that Sharp raised approximately $70,000 through cheer and dance revenue-generating events, but that his program deposits from these events totaled only $29,372. The letter states that Sharp asked that the donations for the spirit programs be made directly to him.
Sharp, who coached the Louisville Ladybirds to 19 national championships, has also resigned from his position as cheer and dance coach at Floyd Central High School.
