For the third time in four years, the Louisville men’s basketball team will begin a season unranked in the preseason Associated Press top 25 poll.
The Cards earned three votes from the AP voters, good enough to tie them with Notre Dame and BYU for the final spots in the “others receiving votes” portion of the poll.
Teams on U of L’s 2021-22 schedule who will begin the season ranked include: No. 9 Duke, No. 10 Kentucky, No. 19 North Carolina, No. 20 Florida State and No. 25 Virginia. Additionally, Louisville could face Maryland in the Bahamas on the Saturday over Thanksgiving.
