On Monday afternoon it was announced that the University of Louisville Cardinals earned the seventh national seed for the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament. Louisville was also named one of sixteen sites that would be hosting a regional next weekend on Sunday evening after the ACC Tournament had ended.
The Cardinals once again had a very stellar year under Dan McDonnell. They finished the regular season with a 46-9 record and were ranked 5th in the final polls of the regular season.
The Cardinals will be looking to redeem themselves from last years’s heart-breaking season-ending finale.
